Looking for the ZipRecruiter API?
ZipRecruiter’s APIs are for partners, not for reading its job listings in your own app. Here is how to get the same kind of jobs from employer career sites instead.
Updated
The short answer
As of November 2026, ZipRecruiter does not offer a self-serve public API for reading its job listings. Its partner APIs are mainly for hiring systems that send jobs to ZipRecruiter, and its job search tools are for approved publisher partners. To get similar jobs in your own app, use a jobs API that collects jobs from employer career sites and hiring systems, where many of those jobs are first posted.
Does ZipRecruiter have a public API?
Not one you can sign up for and use to read jobs. ZipRecruiter’s partner documentation describes a job API that hiring system partners use to post jobs to ZipRecruiter and close them later. That sends jobs in. It does not let you search or download ZipRecruiter’s listings.
ZipRecruiter has also worked with publisher partners that show its jobs on their own sites. That is a partner program with its own review and terms, not an open developer API. We checked this in November 2026. Programs change, so ask ZipRecruiter directly if you need their current terms.
Where do ZipRecruiter jobs come from?
Many jobs on large job boards start on the employer’s own career page or hiring system (ATS), such as Workday, Greenhouse, iCIMS or Lever. The board then shows a copy. The employer’s own post is usually the most complete and most current version, and it closes when the job is filled.
How is The Jobs API different?
- We collect jobs from employer career sites and hiring systems, not from ZipRecruiter
- Each job links to the employer’s own job page and apply page
- You get full descriptions in text and HTML, not a snippet
- Feeds tell you which jobs are new, changed or expired
- You can sign up yourself and start with a free trial
- We cover the United States and Canada
ZipRecruiter partner APIs vs The Jobs API
| ZipRecruiter partner APIs | The Jobs API | |
|---|---|---|
| Main purpose | Sending jobs to ZipRecruiter, or showing its jobs as an approved partner | Reading and searching job listings |
| Access | Partner agreement | Self-serve sign-up and API key |
| Where jobs come from | Employers and partners posting on ZipRecruiter | Employer career sites and hiring systems |
| Countries | Set by ZipRecruiter | The US and Canada |

Can I scrape ZipRecruiter instead?
Job boards limit automated access in their terms. We do not scrape ZipRecruiter, and we do not recommend it. Collecting from the employer’s own site gives you the original job without that risk.
Try it: search jobs by title and place

Questions people ask
Is there a ZipRecruiter API for job listings?
As of November 2026 we found no self-serve public API for reading ZipRecruiter’s listings. Its partner APIs are for posting jobs or for approved publisher partners.
Is the ZipRecruiter API free?
ZipRecruiter does not publish a free, open job search API. For free job data options, see our free jobs API guide.
Will I get every job that is on ZipRecruiter?
No. Some jobs are only posted on ZipRecruiter. Many employers also post on their own career site or hiring system, and those are the jobs we collect.
Can I move a ZipRecruiter integration to The Jobs API?
Yes. Call our search endpoint with a title and a location, then map our fields, such as title, employer, locations, description and apply link, to the ones your site shows.
Do you show salaries?
Yes, when the employer states pay. Filter with has_salary=true to get only jobs with stated pay.
How do I know when a job is filled?
Our expired jobs feed lists jobs that left the employer’s site, so you can remove them from your app.
How much does The Jobs API cost?
The US is $900 USD a month, Canada is $200 USD a month and both are $1,100 USD a month, with no job or request limit. The free trial lasts 14 days and includes 100,000 jobs, with no card needed.
