Authentication
Every request needs an API key. Send it in the Authorization header as a bearer token:
bash
curl "https://api.thejobsapi.com/v1/stats" -H "Authorization: Bearer tja_live_..."The X-API-Key header is also accepted:
bash
curl "https://api.thejobsapi.com/v1/stats" -H "X-API-Key: tja_live_..."Managing keys
- Keys belong to an organization. Usage from all of its keys counts toward its plan.
- Create keys on the API keys page. The full key is shown once; we store only a hash.
- Use a separate key per app or environment so you can revoke one without affecting the others.
- Revoked keys stop working immediately and return
401.
Keep keys secret
Call the API from your server, never from a browser or mobile app where the key would be visible. If a key leaks, revoke it and create a new one.
Errors
A missing, malformed or revoked key returns 401 with a JSON error message. When the trial has ended and no plan is active, requests return 402. See Errors, limits & usage.
